On leave but doing harder work !!!

My mother in law went to Umrah last Saturday. The maid ran away some time ago. My father in law is alone with the kids ranging from 2 - 12 years old. There are seven of them, three of which are mine. Imagine the havoc.

We have to take turns to take leave to make sure that those schooling are ready, fed and delivered. Today and tomorrow is my turn. I thought I can have some time to write stories for my blog - no way - too busy chasing these kids around. Tried to sit down and turn on the laptop, before it even booted, someone wants to pee pee, then someone wants milk, someone wants a toy that someone else hijacked.... Arrggghhh, just shut down the laptop. Put the thing away and no one wants any attention.
Have just done bathing and clothing them and am getting a bit of break as my wife came back from office.

Morning Apandi.

I should not laugh...but I just did. So sorry to hear of this predicament. But, I must say, you are wise to have your kids looked after by your MIL, just the same. Well, we have just been proven, right?.. as to how committed a helper can be (there are the few committed and good ones, the very few and far between ones around lah).

Boy! You are helping to take care of 7 kids and those ages and helper not around...duh! I rasa dah letih just thinking about it! Anyway, I take my hat off to you. The fact that you took leave and that you are there, you are a great and caring person! Yes, switch off the computer. Good luck and God bless.

Ha tu laa baru tau, raising kids is no easy feat. Lucky you have relatives nearby, but for many others they entirely have to trust them to maids and day cares. I'm lucky to have my mom-in-law stay with us, amd luckier still to have a very accomodating spouse to take care of business when I'm away. I'm ever grateful to these women and most women everywhere for their ability to multi-task. Speaks a lot for the fairer sex, eh? So I'm always trying to make up for it - but how arr?

Apandi,
Now you see why your mom-in-law needed the break? :)

Ruby, so mean. But well deserved I suppose. It was hell and fun both at the same time. Am in the office now, ahhhh blisss....

Pi, yes, she deserved the break. Kesian dia, from another angle its like she is imprisoned and chained by the kids. Masaalahnya, nak hantar nursery dia tak bagi, nak jaga sendiri. We'll do what we can...

Doc, not just luck, another pair or two of hands and feet.
